This metallic ceramic thermal barrier used on a piston dome is designed to reflect the heat off the piston and out the exhaust resulting in better combustion control for increased horsepower.
Compression timing and fuel mixtures are all used to improve torque and horsepower, but there are limitations that will cause severe engine damage. The thermal barrier process will allow you to exceed previous limitations.
